Version 1
VisitIO helps you document work for your clients. Doing that means collecting their personal information: names, phone numbers, emails, addresses, photos of their homes or premises, and sometimes their signature. Under privacy laws you are the party responsible for that information. VisitIO stores and processes it only on your instructions.
By continuing you confirm that you will:
- Collect only what the job needs. Names, contact details, site address, photos of the work and a signature to confirm acceptance are normal. Do not photograph people, documents or personal belongings unless the job requires it and the client agrees.
- Tell your clients. Let them know you use an app to document the job and produce their report, and that their details are stored securely. Where the law requires consent (for example to record a conversation, or under GDPR/LGPD for certain uses), get it first.
- Use it for the service only. Do not use client details for unsolicited marketing, sell them, or share them with anyone who is not involved in the job.
- Keep it safe. Use a screen lock on your phone, do not share your VisitIO account, and sign out on devices you no longer use.
- Respect their rights. If a client asks what you hold about them, asks you to correct it, or asks you to delete it, do so within the time your local law allows. Deleting a job in VisitIO removes its photos, notes and reports from your device and your cloud backup.
- Follow the law where you work — for example GDPR/UK GDPR in Europe and the UK, PIPEDA and provincial laws in Canada, LGPD in Brazil, and CCPA/CPRA and other state laws in the United States.
VisitIO will help you meet these duties: data is encrypted in transit, scoped to your account, deletable per job, and your whole account can be deleted from Settings.
